Another Snow Day

Well, I've had another snow day from school. I'll be teaching well into the summer, it looks like. So I've tried to make good use of my time and totally feel like the opposite has happened. I started my day ordering envelopes for when I start production of stationery again, I've listed a new product on etsy and prepared 3 more for immediate download or upload (which ever you call it) for the future. I did stitch some gift/business card holders and am thinking about making some books.

What did you do today?

My best friend just called me a paper making machine and I will accept that title. This morning I made some cards with silver leaf maples on the front for my gallery close by in Waynesville. Then as my son is talking about cutting the grass, we spy a yellow sunflower. I said that would look good on a card and it was a race between the two of us to see who could get the flower... :-) Look for the winner tomorrow.

My birthday gift is a bag of shredded US Currency. I've been waiting on it to come and it arrived yesterday!!! Yeah, Guess what I'll be making tomorrow--a puzzle to have some extra money--no, just kidding. I will make some paper note cards! That will be fantastic way to spread the economic stimulus package all around.

I'm happy and nervous and excited and sad about my son's graduation. I have to voice/type these feelings so that I can calm down. He's is so talented and will do great in college.

PS. Don't forget to choose your favorite paper from the 3 pics below. I'll send the winner their favorite card.

I have squeezed in time to make some neat flower paper. Look at the three samples below and choose your favorite. Iris, Daisy or bouquet of rockcress and a daisy. Leave me a message and a way to contact you and I'll send you the card you chose!! Announcement of the winner will be here, next Sunday the 14th.

I just spent a wonderful day with my friend, Beth, a cancer survivor, at a Relay for Life craft show. I planned on going and having fun and I did, plus I made a little extra money from my handmade paper too. My daisy cards were a big hit. I also gave away free gifts, with website info, and people were so pleased to get a gift! That will be something I do at all my shows in the future.
