Thinking of Spring

While I am home on another snow day, I am thinking of spring and the break that I will not see this year!! I am an elementary art teacher. We have had the most incredible winter with more snow, flurries and cold weather than I can ever remember!!

Over the weekend, I went into my studio and made some greeting cards with wildflower seeds in the pulp. Check them out! I think that it would be a fabulous eco friendly way to communicate! What do you think? What do you think of the words/greetings?
Thanks for your comments. I have been slack in commenting on your posts. Going to correct that now!

I'm happy and nervous and excited and sad about my son's graduation. I have to voice/type these feelings so that I can calm down. He's is so talented and will do great in college.

PS. Don't forget to choose your favorite paper from the 3 pics below. I'll send the winner their favorite card.

I had a really fun weekend. On Saturday, I was in my studio making paper. I am always happy as a clam when I'm dipping the mould and deckle into the pulp.

Next, Bob and I had our friends, Bruce and Helen, took us using a free coupon to the Biltmore House. We have toured inside the mansion on other times, but this Sunday, we hiked around on the property and just felt like it was ours. We walked through the gardens, although they were not in their prime. And then we had to check out the winery!! Biltmore House has some very fine wines. My reccommendations are Biltmore Estate Chardonnay, Biltmore Collection Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc de Noir, and Merlot. Those were very nice, especially the white wines, as I don't often drink them because they are too sweet.

Congratulations to Eddie Garcia--He's the winner of the journal pictured below. He has a fabulous blog about networking on the Internet with common sense approaches to courtesy, etiquette, as well as the pros and cons of 9-5 versus internet marketing. Check him out at http://eddiegarcia-myblogs.blogspot.com/

The weather is warming up in Asheville. More of my flowers are blooming and I am spotting more wildflowers on my drives to work each day. It means that I will be making more paper on the weekends, so watch my etsy shop for new types of paper!! (http://www.paintingpam.etsy.com/)

We have had beautiful weather today and I love it that my daffodils are coming up. These are special as they were my daddy's bulbs. My sister and I each have 50 bulbs. Over the weekend, I busily made some paper for sanity!! Did you know that is a full moon today??!! The kids are wild, as my writing is. Also on the weekend, my son helped me make a video about making paper. I hope to have the video up on the weekend.

The contest will be extended to next wednesday, 18th at 7 pm. Look at these journals and choose your favorite. A lucky winner will receive this journal at the right---
