I just spent a wonderful day with my friend, Beth, a cancer survivor, at a Relay for Life craft show. I planned on going and having fun and I did, plus I made a little extra money from my handmade paper too. My daisy cards were a big hit. I also gave away free gifts, with website info, and people were so pleased to get a gift! That will be something I do at all my shows in the future.

Well, we are back from a fabulous trip to DC with the band students!!

They gave a spirited concert in front of the Lincoln Memorial and then 4 students participated in the wreath laying ceremony at the tomb of the unknown soldier.

They performed wonderfully at the Kennedy Center and were chosen to perform in the Encore Concert on Monday evening. It was a trip of a lifetime.

I've been a long time since April 26.

I made some great wildflower paper on May 2 and then I cleaned up my studio. My son was in a play, The Sound of Music, the next weekend and this coming weekend, his band is going to DC to perform at the Kennedy Center. This will be my best Mother's Day. I'll get to see him perform a solo, participate in the wreath laying ceremony, play in front of the Lincoln Memorial and sing with the Ensemble. Not to mention that now I'm on Facebook. I never thought I would love to reconnect with high school and college friends, no offense, just that I didn't think it was my nature. With my son's help, here's my link
